Taylor Hospital investors set to purchase shuttered Springfield Hospital for $1M

SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WPVI) -- Local investors for Taylor Hospital are set to purchase the long-shuttered Springfield Hospital for $ 1 million.

In a court filing Friday, Prospect Medical Holdings said it intends to sell Springfield Hospital to KQT Aikens Partners 2.

That group is replacing Restorative Health Foundation and Syan Investments, which won a $3 million bid back in October.

Prospect terminated that agreement when they failed to complete the purchase by December 15.

Springfield Hospital has been closed since 2022.
